Cancellation of Removal for Permanent Residents
Cancellation of Expulsion for a permanent resident is used when the permanent resident commits acts that cause the revocation of his permanent resident card and therefore the expulsion to his/her country of origin.
To be eligible for Cancellation of Removal or Deportation for Permanent Residents you must:
Have been a legal permanent resident for a minimum of 5 years.
Have continuously resided in the United States for a minimum of 7 years after being admitted to the United States in any status.
Have not been convicted of a crime that is considered an aggravated felony.
Not be inadmissible to the United States for security reasons.
